First i would like to say that in my opinion, if you are in a new relationship, texting is not a good idea. call me old-fashioned, but i have found that it's best to get to know people through. I have a friend who never seems to follow through on her plans with me (and our other mutual friends). it's sort of like the boy who cried wolf . . . we just don't believe her words anymore . . . and now anytime she makes plans, we only roll our eyes.. 1. she texts in the early afternoon to say she can't make a night date. she doesn't suggest any alternate date or plan. 2. i ignore her text all afternoon and evening. i go about everything as if she hadn't cancelled. Maybe she doesn't make plans because she's shy? she doesn't know where to ask you to go, or doesn't know when you're free, so just can't. she does go out with you, so that's good. ask her where she wants to go and maybe that'll encourage her to start asking you places rather than the other way around..
